CLUB XL - A NEW twist on our AWANA program here at Redwood Chapel.
What does "XL" mean?
"X" is the symbol for Christ in the Greek alphabet and the "L" stands for LIFE. We dig deep into God's Word to learn what it means to live life for Christ.
When does club xl meet?
We meet on Sunday afternoons 4-5:45pm, beginning September 8, 2019.
Who can attend Club XL?
This program is for kids in grades K-5 (Pre-K is also available for kids whose parents serve at Club XL). Club XL meets during the school year and offers the opportunity to meet new friends, play games, compete in challenging contests and, most importantly, learn to live out a Christ centered LIFE.
How much does it cost?
It is FREE to attend and take part each week.
The AWANA Book is $15. (Strongly encouraged)
The Club XL shirt is $10. (Shirts replace the AWANA uniforms)
We all meet together as a group promptly at 4pm, for singing and announcements.
Game Time An exciting time of fun and friendly competition. Children are advised to dress in appropriate attire that will allow them to play freely. (skirts, dresses, open toed shoes are not recommended.)
Large group / Small Group time Large groups hear a message from God's Word and will break it down in the small groups as kids meet with a leader to study the Bible and gain knowledge from their club handbook. Each clubber is encouraged to take the handbook home to complete each week in order to finish their book within the club year. Parent help at home is strongly encouraged.
serving at Club XL
To serve in Club XL, please register yourself as a volunteer on this Club XL registration page. If you have not yet been cleared to serve with kids at Redwood Chapel, you will also need to fill out an application. We will begin the application process and you will be asked to participate in a background check via email by a group called Chekr. Please contact Amber Warner at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
