Connie Snyder
became Director of Children’s Ministries in August of 2007. Having committed
her life to Jesus Christ as a young girl, she treasures the high privilege it
has been to know and love Him since childhood. One of her passions in life is to
teach and encourage children, and give them glimpses of the potential they have
as they give their lives to Jesus.
She is from
Mount
Shasta,
CA
where she was a teacher at
Siskiyou
Christian School for 3 years and Worship Coordinator at Evangelical Free Church
of Mount Shasta for 13 years. She is a graduate of
Castro Valley
High School, earned a B.A. in Social Science from
Biola
University, and finished courses at Cal State Hayward to receive her California
Teaching Credential.
Connie has two
college-age sons, Tim and Nathan. The late Sherman Williams, her father, was
pastor of Redwood Chapel for 19 years and its Minister-at-Large for 27
years. Coming to
Castro Valley
as a fifth grader, she is delighted to be serving the children of the familiar
community in which she grew up.
Others
interests? They include creating custom greeting cards, calligraphy, writing,
spending quiet moments of reflection in nature’s varied settings, and enjoying
valuable discussions with family and friends.
