The elders
at Redwood Chapel are to shepherd the flock and to exercise
oversight, as Peter directs in his first letter. These are duties we
take very seriously and our desire is to carry out these duties with
the understanding that one day we will be required to account for
our actions to Jesus. As shepherds we want to be available to all
who attend Redwood Chapel to answer questions about Scripture or
about the vision of Redwood Chapel, and to pray with you or for you.
Feel free to email, phone, or stop any of us when you wish to talk.
We encourage those who are suffering from illness to follow
James 5:14 and call for the elders for prayer and anointing - we
can go to where you are if you can not be at church.

---------------------------------------------
The primary responsibility of the ELDERS,
both as individuals and as a Board, shall be to
care for the spiritual health and vitality of the church. In so
doing, they shall insure that the Word of God is being taught
faithfully and practically throughout all areas of church activity;
they shall insure that the people of the church are being prepared
for and encouraged in ministry; and that the church is being
protected from false teaching. (RCCC
Constitution)
"Therefore, I exhort the elders
among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of
Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed,
shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under
compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not
for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over
those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the
flock." 1 Peter 5:1-3 NASB
